Zoo Med New Zealand Moss Decor is preferred over any other type of moss for terrarium use due to its unique softness and amazing moisture-holding ability. All natural Sphagnum Moss is the #1 preferred moss for all vivarium applications.
- Lush carpet-like moss that can hold moisture up to 20 times its dry weight
- Great for live plants and incredibly long-lasting
- Harvested using sustainable methods to ensure that it will be around for future generations
After other substrates have decomposed, the Zoo Med New Zealand Moss Decor remains usable and can be washed and reused several times. Naturally existing compounds within the moss prevent decomposition in humid environments. It holds more water and stays moist longer than any other type of moss!
Great for use with a wide variety of animal types, including: tree frogs, hermit crabs, dry geckos, arrow frogs, toads, invertebrates, newts, salamanders, and other miscellaneous frog species.
All natural, sustainably harvested "green" product. No trees were harmed in harvesting this product.
