Weiler Tiger Zirc type 1 portable snagging wheels deliver the right combination of performance and value. Our advanced bond technology provides long product life while sharp and durable zirconia and silicon carbide abrasive grain mix performs exceptionally well with burn-in sand and the most challenging foundry cleaning room applications. To ensure maximum product safety, these wheels are designed with two layers of fiberglass reinforcement. The reinforcement is embedded inside the wheel to reduce edge chipping and promote more consistent product wear. The type 1 shape features a flat face with a narrow contact area, making them ideal for targeted heavy grinding and stock removal applications. These 8-inch snagging wheels are designed for use on medium to high power pneumatic and high frequency electric straight grinders. The 5/8” arbor hole includes a precision phenolic resin insert to ensure a tight fit on the tool, minimal vibration, and an enhanced operator experience.
