The predominance of Pinot Noir (50%), produced exclusively from grapes selected from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot. Chardonnay (30%) brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine, while a small percentage of Pinot Meunier (20%) rounds out the blend.
The Vintage Rosé blend is crafted with 13% of red still wine, exclusively from the Pinot Noir of Bouzy.
Veuve Clicquot’s Vintage collection is unique for its use of wines vinified and aged in large oak casks (11%), which adds strength and aromatic intensity. The cask-aged wines bring an additional complexity with their spicy notes and subtle roast coffee and toasted aromas.
