Turntable Spirits story begins with two brothers, a serious love of whisky and a backing track of creativity ... and over twenty years of combined experience. Gordon and Alasdair Stevenson realized that it was time to carve their own path and flip the record on ordinary and in the process ... create a new generation of blended Scotch Whiskey.
Blend breakdown: Knockdhu Virgin Oak Barrel 13% | Invergordon ex-Cognac Barrel 18% | Blair Athol Bourbon Barrel 8% | Unnamed Speyside Virgin Oak Barrel 30% | North British Virgin Oak Barrel 11% | Benrinnes Chinkapin Barrel 20%
Nose: Bright nose with a spicy, cedar note. Cinnamon and nutmeg pleasantly stand out.
Palate: Thinner texture than one might expect - given the lower grain content. Plenty of red fruits with a hint of sweet rhubarb compote, which makes for a nicely balanced sipper.
Finish: Medium finish, palate flavours linger.
