When using the provided template one will find that they have plenty of room to do the work necessary inside the wall when connecting to a new tub and shower valve. The Tub and Shower Valve UPDATE PLATE will cover up the hole made and look very nice. The trim that is provided with your newly installed tub and shower valve will look great as you install it against the UPDATE PLATE.
