Each year people from all over the world travel to Japan to study, live and work. Among them are several Jamaicans. According to Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of December 2019, approximately nine hundred and fourteen Jamaicans are living in Japan. While both countries are vastly different in culture, language, food, and even climate, many Jamaicans have chosen to navigate these differences to call Japan their second home.
