Strange Brew Licorice Porter Homebrew Beer Making Ingredient Kit (All Grain Recipe Kit)

Strange Brew's Licorice Porter is an American-style Porter with licorice added to it. At it's core, our Licorice Porter is your standard malty dark beer with a complex malt character. What really makes it strange is the addition of a licorice stick, which departs an intense licorice flavor and sweetness to the beer. Our Licorice Porter pours a very dark brown that in the right light you'll swear aproaches black. Front and center, the aroma is dominated with a sharp spicy note, from the licorice, and in the background the base beer presents a moderate amount of dark malt aroma with a light toasted note. Much like the aroma, the flavor is dominated with the warm bittersweet licorice and in the background the base beer rounds out the flavor with some complamentary malty-sweetness and contrasting hop bitterness. Resulting in a beer that is pungently aromatic and yet still drinkable glass after glass. This kit includes grains (crushed for your convenience), hops, yeast, bottle caps, priming sugar, irish moss, a muslin bag, and malt extract (if the kit is an extract kit).
