Protek Royal Exterior Finish - Guardsman Red

This strong bright red is synonymous with military uniforms worldwide. Prue was inspired to paint her garden furniture red having visited Cawdor castle in Scotland, many years ago. She saw how they had used a strong bright red and how effective it was against a back drop of garden greens.

Quick-drying water based product that is robust and hard wearing. Low odour product that is safer than creosote and plant and animal safe when dry. Easy to use with a high-build formulation that enhances the wood grain and resists fading.

Can be applied by brush, roller or sprayer and is suitable on all timbers. Requires two to three thin coats and is suitable for smooth or rough timber.

Coverage: 1 Litre will cover approximately 8m²

Advice: It is recommended that 2 – 3 coats be applied. If 1 coat is to be applied for a translucent look, apply Royal Clear on top to produce a harder surface finish. Protek Royal is a high-build formulation so each extra coat increases the colour and sheen. If applying to bare timber a knotting agent should be used prior to application. When applied to floorboards a top coat of breathable polyurethane sealant or varnish should be applied to protect against heavy foot traffic.
