Kowa TSN-55S PROMINAR 17-40x55 Straight Spotting Scope

The Kowa TSN-55S PROMINAR 17-40x55 Straight Spotting Scope with Pure Fluorite Crystal objective lenses is a one-piece scope with a permanently attached Kowa TE-11 WZ II eyepiece with a magnification scale that reflects its 17-40x zoom range. This eyepiece is a major upgrade from the TSN-553's TE-9Z, as it increases the field of view by 52% and contains 2 extra-low dispersion lens elements that improve sharpness, clarity, and color precision. The TSN-55S is waterproof and fogproof thanks to its fully sealed construction. The external lenses on TSN-55 spotting scopes are coated with Kowa's KR scratch resistant, dust, dirt, oil, and water-repellent coating. If you want to add filters of any kind, including Kowa's TP-58FT protective filter, there are 58mm filter threads in front of the objective lens. Filters do not obstruct operation of the sun shade, which now includes an aiming sight. The optional Kowa CV-88 eyecup provides see-through protection for the eyepiece. The biggest attraction of the Kowa TSN-55 spotting scopes is their dimensions. The angled version is 10" long and weighs only 40 ounces. The straight model is 10.8" long and weighs 39.8 ounces. Neoprene stay-on cases are available for each. The dual focusing knob enables both coarse and fine focusing, with close focus down to 9.2'.
