Age 17 years, Ben Nevis distillery, Cask #398 2005, Bourbon
Many whisky enthusiasts prefer whisky aged in ex-Bourbon casks, as it allows the distillery's character to shine at its best. This whisky is truly something for them. It encompasses the finest qualities of the whisky that made Ben Nevis one of Scotland's most intriguing distilleries under the leadership of Colin Ross. It is like a tour through the distillery, with aromas of barley, marzipan, and vanilla. The palate is greeted with a delightful sweetness and creamy confectionery, culminating in a lingering finish reminiscent of crisp green apples. It is evident how beautifully Ben Nevis malt blends with the American oak
