Dropping In on the Waves of Life: Tales on the Way to Becoming an Adult

We read a news story about a teenager who drinks too much alcohol too quickly and dies; who jumps from a high rock into a pool of deep water and drowns; who commits suicide yet no one realized she was suffering from depression.The tragedy is that those kids understood the quadratic equations of algebra, yet they didn't have the life experience to recognize a dangerous situation or the symptoms of loneliness or the fragility of a broken heart so that they could feel safe and at peace.Parental guidance these days may be quite limited due to family situations and busy schedules. Schools do not teach enough about lessons in life.
