This is a vintage souvenir glass piece from The Palace Club Casino, Reno, Nevada — clear square glass bearing the blue and yellow logo from the club's 1964 refurbishment. Excellent condition. One available.

The Palace Club has one of the longest and most storied histories in Nevada gaming. It began in 1888 as The Palace Cigar Store. When Nevada legalized gambling in 1931 it was among the very first establishments to offer it. In January 1934 it became The Palace Bar; in 1935 it opened as a full casino under the Palace Club name. It operated continuously until 1979, when the family sold it to Harrah's, who demolished it. This piece carries the 1964 logo — from the era when the club was at its most established and its most recognizable — a small clear square of glass that documents over ninety years of Nevada gambling culture in a single printed logo.

A wonderful piece of Nevada gaming history for a Reno collector, a Western Americana enthusiast, or anyone building a collection of mid-century casino memorabilia.
