Myanmar is ornithologically a very attractive country. For example, BirdLife International has declared seven different - in part cross-border - areas in Mynamar 'Endemic Bird Areas' (EBA). In such areas significant numbers of bird species with small distribution areas occur, that is, it is impossible or very difficult to see them outside of Myanmar.
